After the coupling is installed, it is necessary to check all screws during a normal operation of one shift.

There are many factors that affect the service life of the coupling, such as the selection of coupling materials, heat treatment process, manufacturing accuracy, coupling assembly accuracy, maintenance status, etc. So how to maintain the coupling to extend its service life:

1. Before installation, the end faces of the two shafts should be cleaned and the matching conditions of the end face key slots should be checked;

2. After the coupling is installed, it is necessary to check all screws during a normal operation of one shift. If they are found to be loose, they must be tightened. This should be repeated for several shifts to ensure that they will not loosen;

3. In order to prevent the micro-wear of the diaphragm during high-speed operation, which causes micro-cracks and damage to the diaphragm bolt holes, solid lubricants such as molybdenum disulfide can be applied between the diaphragms or the surface of the diaphragm can be treated with a friction-reducing coating;

4. The coupling should avoid long-term overload use and the occurrence of operating accidents;

5. During the operation of the coupling, the coupling should be checked frequently for abnormal phenomena. If any abnormal phenomenon occurs, it must be repaired in time; therefore, in order to extend the service life of the coupling, the coupling must be maintained regularly.
